The Carrillo Law Firm represented 9 victims of sexual abuse by Ronnie Lee Roman, an afterschool coach who worked for the Los Angeles Unified School District at Cahuenga Elementary School in Los Angeles. Roman was convicted and sentenced to 110 years-to-life in prison for molesting countless students at Cahuenga Elementary School. Roman had been accused of inappropriate touching and fondling of girls at Vine Elementary School (within the LAUSD) in 2002 but instead of firing him, Roman was transferred by the LAUSD to Cahuenga Elementary School where he continued to molest little girls.
All of the victims of Roman were 8-11 years old at the time of the molestation. Roman would force the girls to play a game he made up called “Four Corners” in which he blindfolded the students and got them dizzy and then pressed them against his penis. The Carrillo Law Firm was able to secure a sizeable settlement on behalf of the victims against the LAUSD. This is one of many that the Carrillo Law Firm has been able to secure against the LAUSD for the sexual abuse of minors at their schools
