In “As I See Things,” we analyze one of the harshest decisions in recent U.S. history: the Supreme Court, by a 6-3 vote, upheld the use of racial profiling to detain people based on their appearance or accent. Justice Sonia Sotomayor warned: “We should not live in a country where the government can detain anyone who looks Latino, speaks Spanish, and has a low-paying job.”
