VICTORVILLE, CALIFORNIA (November 26, 2024) – A para-educator at Brentwood Elementary School identified as Fadil Shabazz was arrested on charges of sexually abusing a minor.
San Bernardino County officials are saying that the incident took place on November 20, 2024. Investigators conducted an interview of Fadil Shabazz.
By the end of the interview, the defendant was placed under arrest on suspicion of violating PC 288 (A) Lewd and Lascivious Acts on a Child Under the Age of 14.
The defendant has subsequently booked into the High Desert Detention Center. Any person with more information about the actions of Fadil Shabazz should reach out to the Victorville Police Department.

It is important that certain steps are taken after any suspected instance of sexual abuse.

- The history of misconduct by the assailant should be understood.
- Medical records related to the assault should be preserved.

Teachers are mandated reporters under the law. They have a legal obligation to report reasonably suspected instances of abuse.
